Triathlon For A Cure Sunset Cruise Fundraiser was a Blast!
October 29, 2009 by Bill Strong Last night, our dear friends Mike and Sarah Paskin hosted the inaugural Triathlon For A Cure sunset cruise fundraiser on the Channel Cat catamaran in Santa Barbara. The setting was amazing, the evening was beautiful, the boat was pure luxury, the staff was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and the company couldn't have been better.I had a great night and met so many new friends and extraordinary people -- all out to support our family and the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation through Mike's Triathlon For A Cure. The event raised over $6,000 -- an unbelievable accomplishment -- and we are simply humbled once again and so thankful to have such supportive, wonderful people in our lives.
We'd like to thank Mike for being crazy enough to train for the Ironman in November 2009 
and for his thoughtful, selfless idea -- on his own accord -- to turn his ridiculous training schedule into an awareness and fundraising campaign for SMA and the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation. We'd like to thank both Mike and Sarah for pulling together such a perfect, memorable event -- something that I will personally remember forever. And most importantly to us, we'd like to thank Mike and Sarah for being such thoughtful and supportive friends to our family through every step of our journey with Gwendolyn. We are truly, truly, truly blessed to have friends like the Paskins in our lives and we will be forever grateful for all they have done and are continuing to do for us and our little girl -- they are simply extraordinary people and we love them!
