Team Callie Raises $5,100 for Team GSF

January 25, 2012 by Victoria

This is the Golden family. How stinkin' cute are they?

This is sweet Callie Golden. Blond. Big brown doe eyes. Almost three years old. Cute as a button and even cuter when you hear her sweet Southern accent. I think it is fitting that Callie's last name is Golden because she is -- she radiates all that is good. Callie has SMA.

And this is Nathan and Callie. Father and daughter. Absolutely love this photo! (You seriously need to read the blog post about this photo -- it's a good one... a really good one.)

You may remember that the Golden family organized Team Callie with Nathan and 20 others running in the North Carolina 5K, Half, and Full Marathon in November. It was awesome! The NC Marathon is held in the Goldens' home town of High Point every year. So this year the Goldens put out a call to their friends and family, got local businesses involved, and had special shirts made with Callie's sweet picture on the back. Dozens rallied around the wonderful Golden family. Dozens of friends came out to support, cheer on and be in the run. Dozens of people donated. It was a day filled with tons of positivity and fun!

And drum roll... an incredible $5,100 was raised by Team Callie. Way to go Team Callie. You are awesome! Thank you for making a difference in beautiful Callie's honor.
