Where On the Road is Gwendolyn?

Benson, Arizona, just for the night. And thanks to one of our great Sponsor-A-Mile corporate sponsors, KOA, we're all taken care of at the Benson KOA for the night. Thanks KOA!

The last couple of days have been tiring. We left South Padre Island, TX yesterday morning and have traveled over 1,100 miles since then through all of west Texas, a portion of southern New Mexico, and a good portion of southern Arizona. It's amazing how quickly the landscape changes once you leave Texas heading west and I swear we haven't seen anything more than a small hill for more than 3,000 miles until we hit New Mexico again smile As always, Gwendolyn has been amazingly patient and cooperative and we are still having a lot of fun as we continue to head west towards home over the next few days.

Trip stats:

* Mileage for segment yesterday: South Padre Island, TX to Ozona, TX ---> 498 miles
* Mileage this segment: Ozona, TX to Benson, AZ ---> 621 miles
* Cumulative mileage: 4,182 miles
* Cumulative gallons of diesel gas: 631 gallons
* Average MPG: 6.63 (ugh!)
