Shop With Purpose

December 07, 2013 by Victoria Strong

iPads have changed the lives of children with disabilities. For the able-bodied, an iPad is a nice to have luxury item. Now imagine for a moment if it were physically exerting or even impossible to hold a laptop or sit upright at a desktop computer, turn the pages of a book, hold a pencil or a paintbrush, play your favorite instrument, express your desires, speak. Imagine.

But here's the thing, the Apple iPad can help with all of these. It can literally change the "impossible."

We are so honored that our Project Mariposa iPad program was selected by We-Care as Cause of the Month in December alongside the National Autism Association's iPad program. With YOUR online shopping, YOU can empower children with SMA and Autism by granting them iPads.

It's easy. Get started by going to iCan: Empowering Kids with Autism and SMA and follow the download instructions. Then start SHOPPING...WITH PURPOSE!!!

With over 2,600 participating stores, such as: Lands' End, Zales, Sears, Macy's, Leapfrog, The Body Shop, Apple, Dell, Harry & David, Walgreens, Travelocity... everything from gifts for the grandparents to travel plans can help us help more children and adults with SMA.

So, SHOP WITH PURPOSE. Make your dollars make a difference. And thank you!
