Glamor Girl

We have ourselves a girly little girl. When I was pregnant, I was adamant that if we had a little girl I would not push pink on her -- green, yellow, and blue are all great colors, too. In fact, there is an entire coloring box of great colors. I have nothing against pink, but why must girls have to like pink, wear pink, sleep in a pink room?

Well, our little girl has other ideas. Purple and pink are top of the list. Sparkle and glitter a must. And now that we innocently introduced "Daddy Hair Salon" after a bath one day, there is no turning back. Gwendolyn loves having her head massaged and her hair blown dry after each bath, followed by much Ooh-ing and Ahh-ing and posing in the mirror. GLAMOR GIRL!

I must say my favorite quote of the week was in the midst of the aforementioned mirror gaze when Bill was telling Gwendolyn how pretty she looked. He said, "You look beeeautiful. Do you want to look like Mommy?" To which, Gwendolyn immediately and enthusiastically looked at me and said, "Yes!"

Ahhhh -- melt my heart. You can be a girly girl any day!!!
